” ‘To camay,’ Manco [a Quechua Shaman] explained, ‘is to breathe unity into.  No corresponding word exists in Spanish.  Even the idea is difficult to express, for it seems that you northerners don’t believe such things.  In our lives, it is a very important concept, perhaps the most important.  We have several related words: churay, ruray, and supay.  These have to do with creating.  But camay is the most powerful.
