Daily Words of the Buddha for May 18, 2017

The Hālau - ʻAha Hūi Lānakila

Pāli Word a Day for May 18, 2017 — asokā — without sorrow, sorrowless

Gataddhino visokassa
vippamuttassa sabbadhi,
sabbaganthappahīnassa,
pariḷāho na vijjati.

The fever of passion exists not for one
who has completed the journey,
who is sorrowless and wholly set free,
and has broken all ties.
