MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
We reach the pinnacle of our climb on 7 Deer/MANIK. At the peak of the pyramid we find our balance through an assessment from where we are. As the Day Sign of the Mayan Priest, Deer reminds us that We are Divine Agents. We are called to stop and recognize our Purpose for Being.
7 Deer/MANIK illustrates the Master Number 77 (Tone 7, Position 7). “Number 7 relates to inner-wisdom and intuition, contemplation and discernment, understanding of others, inner-strength and tenacity. 77 acknowledges an accomplishment in our empathetic and psychic abilities, and our determination for Spiritual Enlightenment and the Awakening to our True Life Purpose.” [Sacred Scribes] This corresponds with Tone 7 as the mirror that holds the accurate reflection of our own image.
Our first peak experience… the first priority in our new process of Becoming, reveals…

Snapshot: Late Thursday night offers plenty of motivational awareness, but can get you ahead of yourself creating some unexpected actions (accidents). By Friday night, our desires will get checked for their accountability to the greater good.
At 12:06am Mars at 21:57 Capricorn Squares Uranus Rx at 21:57 Aries.
Here we can act so quickly and unexpectedly that accidents can occur. But if you stay aware of the potentials, you can deal with this energy in ways that don’t hurt you physically. The higher purpose of this energy is to bring you revelations around what actions you are wanting to take to build new foundations in your life. With Mars in Capricorn, we have some Saturn/Uranus energies combined here and we can make split-second changes to areas where we are usually very predictable and methodical.
Whatever you do, you are no doubt acting in ways that promote your personal path to…

Today is a good day to hang out with a friend or your partner. Another person may bring you some much needed comfort. Around noon, your mind and your heart will come together to focus on clearing some of the negative energy that has been coming up. Don’t be afraid to talk it out with somebodyyou trust.
Transits of the day:
- Moon moves into Libra, 9:51 am
- Sun conjunct Mercury, 12:16 pm
Today, the planet that symbolizes thinking and the left, rational side of the brain, is sidling up with the Sun, the center of our solar system. And both are in Scorpio, the sign many either fear or don’t understand, so what does this mean?
Traditionally, Mercury is said to be combust by being too close to the hot rays of Sun, giving an inability to see the other side of the coin. In the sign of extremes, Scorpio, this magnifies.
So today, it’s a good day to ask: can I see the other side of an issue? Are my views limited? Is my thinking taken over by an overwhelming idea or maybe a person who clouds my thinking?
While Sun conjunct Mercury can give a sharp mind and powerful speech or writing, it’s good to remember there’s always another viewpoint, and from their perspective, it’s just as valid as yours.

Carolynn Myss defines the victim archetype in her Sacred Contracts course as one of the essential characters we all embody at some point in our lives. There are four survival archetypes present in all of us representing life challenges and our methods of maintaining self-esteem. These four are child, victim, saboteur, and prostitute. The lesson each one offers pertains to use of power and self-image. The child is needy, showing us good reason to strive for learning and independence. The victim endures bullying of various kinds in order to learn courage. Eventually the victim teaches us how to recognize and stand up to bullies. The prostitute teaches the value of maintaining integrity. Once the prostitute recognizes the folly of selling him or herself for support of others, individual mature ethics are developed. The sabatuer archetype lets us know when we are working against our own best interests. Self…

Tuesday morning I went for an early morning walk to the woods near my house. I wanted to say good bye to the waning Moon. The full Moon in Aries had been so mad and electric for me, so filled with joy and sorrow that I needed a special look before she faded into total darkness.
As I watched the Virgo Moon, tangled in bare branches, three small hawks sailed over the pond where I was standing, Cooper hawks! It reminded me of a poem I wrote long ago:
The Wren Who Became a Hawk–Sarah Fuhro
I was the Wren
who became the hawk.
The winter months
know my flight
among the thorns.
Sought for the flame
I carry in my heart,
who sees me,
comes from my nest…
as a hawk,
I alight on a breeze,
fly high in a spiral
