Art is My Medicine ~ Neptunian Splendour

litebeing chronicles

This is the next installment in the occasional series I call Art is My Medicine ~ highlighting the healing magic of visual art. These past few days we have been graced with both a Neptune Sun conjunction and Pisces Sun trine Scorpio Moon. These energies naturally lead me to revel in the boundless magnificence of all creative endeavors. On this auspicious Leap Day I am featuring the paintings of  Mikalojus Ciurlionis. A couple of his masterpieces can also be found here. Join me as I ride the waves of colour, texture, and interplay of light.

What the Universe Has in Store For You: A Sacred Text About You–Your Natal Chart Monograph

Really awful photoshop job but I did it myself and so there it is. Background image: "Dust and the Helix Nebula" (NASA, JPL-Caltech, Kate Su (Steward Obs, U. Arizona) et al., 2008) Really awful photoshop job but I did it myself and so there it is. Background image: “Dust and the Helix Nebula” (NASA, JPL-Caltech, Kate Su, Steward Obs, U. Arizona, et al., 2008). Why I am off center: because when I pasted my mug shot to the center it looked like I had a halo and that’s just weird. I don’t have a halo. So I put me off to the side. You should be focusing on the helix nebula anyway.

I completed a manuscript on astrology. Yeah, like I wrote a book. The final manuscript came out to a total of 259,428 words. Just to give you a sense, that’s fatter than Holistic Tarot. But instead of publishing it, I have found a pretty cool, customized use for that manuscript (at least for now) and that’s what this post is about– an advertisement and self-promotion post, really, to get you to…

Horoscope: Week of February 29th, 2016

Circus Killer News

Your weekly horoscope for February 29th, 2016

Aries (3/21 – 4/19): You will find yourself filled with energy this week when a catastrophe strikes your nuclear power plant.

Taurus (4/20 – 5/20): When things get too stressful then just remember to enjoy the little things in life. Like rabbits and kittens. Any smaller than that, though, and you get spiders and ants and bacteria so I guess you can’t enjoy the really little things in life. Just focus on the sorta little things.

Gemini (5/21 – 6/20): Sometimes it feels like you’re carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. You should really consider a chiropractor or a new mattress or something.

Cancer (6/21 – 7/22): Take a moment out of each day to look around you and appreciate what you have. It will make up for all the moments you spend looking around other people and coveting what…

Personal Thoughts on Retrograde Jupiter- 2/2016

Dive Deep Astrology

As we see the sun moving thru the beginnings of another mutable sign, we are still dealing with an expansive giant stumbling backwards thru a sign that restricts it and redirects all of that robustness. Jupiter loves to go wild and big and bet the house. It works thru a mode of Faith that is rooted in the unknown and knows it will eventually reach. In the sign of Virgo, it already had to uncomfortably readjust to being focused inward. To looking at the smaller details and piecing together what we already know.

download (14)Now that the king of the Gods is moving backwards, we are having to turn even more inwards to settle into that faith. We have this idea that faith automatically brings peace but that is not the case. Jupiter starts the journey to find it. With this particular retrograde planet, looking and plumbing our own depths can…

SAGITTARIAN MIND CONSULTING™

(Excerpt from the upcoming “Book of Sagittarius”)

The practical application of knowledge and the efficient use of your philosophical understanding are two areas of irrefutable importance in your life. One of the largest questions for you becomes: “How can I make the best of what I have?”

When releasing your arrows of thought into the universe, having a precise direction or location is something that has the potential to benefit you greatly.

While the desire to see the big picture fuels your lifeblood, there is also a need to pick things apart and get down to the minutiae. Always asking what life is all about in the larger sense, while simultaneously figuring out how to refine its processes, and combining your insights and offering them as service to humanity.

To know that you’re making a difference strikes a major chord in your psyche. You’re rewarded by…

Tarot Jam: The Year of the Hierophant

The Willow Path Tarot

PREVIOUS BLOG | MASTER LIST | NEXT BLOG

Hello, welcome to The Willow Path Tarot and to the second Tarot Jam blog hop! I am hosting this blog hop and you can find here the Master List to all the other amazing tarot bloggers who are also writing posts on one topic together for you to enjoy.

The topic we are writing about is Tarot Year Cards. Each year you can calculate what tarot card is the theme of your year by adding up your birth day, month and the present year and then reducing that number to a single digit 1-9. For example, my birthday last year was on 7/8/2015:

7+8+2+0+1+5= 23, then reduce 2+3 = 5.

Five is the number of The Hierophant. So, this year I’m having a year ruled by the themes of The Hierophant. I have noticed that Hierophant energy is very present in…

Astrology 1: Sun Signs – Potential & Pratfalls

WARRIOR WOMAN

Please remember that your Sun sign is only one aspect of you – check out your Ascendant and Moon signs to get a better picture of the sum of you. But also remember that astrology is incredibly complex – get a full reading if possible to get a sense of the whole of you astrologically.

Sun Signs – Potential & Pratfalls

Each Sun sign has potential you can live up to, in which case you are working with your inner power to positive effects. Conversely, each Sun sign has pratfalls, which are diversions, cul-de-sacs and dead-ends of negative expression of your energies. We need to be realistic about this. Sometimes we’re going to live up to our highest potential, and sometimes we’re going to go down into the depths and that’s where you have your pratfalls. But that’s life. It’s not easy. It has by-ways and highways so go easy…

Astrology 2: Sun, Moon & Earth

WARRIOR WOMAN

THE MOON

The Moon, for me, represents my maternal ancestral lines and all the wonderful memories I have of my maternal grandmother. The Moon reminds me of dreams, mysteries, inner work and the sweetness of the sea of emotions. She also reminds me of the splendour of the Universe when I watch her riding in the sky with her cool light and mysterious disappearances behind the clouds.

The Moon dances in us as the fluids in our bodies resonate with the Dark Moon, the New Moon and the Full Moon. Her subtle power flows through the rivers, seas and oceans which rise and fall according to her ebbs and flows. When you live in the Mediterranean, it’s a surprise to see the lack of tide in this mainly inland sea as you realise how we take high and low tides for granted.

Communities and civilisations throughout history have venerated the…

Astrology 3: Elements & Qualities –

WARRIOR WOMAN

When you check your chart out, and as you’ll see for Sun signs above, you’ll notice that each sign belongs to an element: fire; earth; air; and water.
*Leo, Sagittarius and Aries are fire signs. Full of energy and enthusiasm. Eager to create and express their aims and goals.

*Libra, Gemini and Aquariusare air signs. Rational, thinking, looking for knowledge and communication.

*Virgo, Capricorn and Taurus are earth signs. These are earthy, as the name suggests, practical, steady and stable. They are practical and are involved with material matters.

*Cancer, Pisces and Scorpio are water signs. These are feeling and sensitive signs, emotional, and may involve psychic qualities.

If you’re interested in looking more closely at your chart, you can also find out whether you have a preponderance or lack of any of these signs in your chart, or whether you balance out across the elements.

Astrology 4: Mercury & Venus

WARRIOR WOMAN

MERCURY

Mercury, in strictly astrological terms, relates to communication in all its facets. Some of the areas which Mercury covers are talking, discussion, education, culture, the Internet, rhythm, expression, mental abilities and powers of communication.

Traditionally communication was regarded as intellectual, what went in your head, but now we’re being called to recognize Mercury’s influence on communication within and without, in overt and hidden forms, in truths and in untruths, in other words, extending its energies into every facet of our lives whether asleep or waking because we communicate in visible and invisible ways. Mercury can take us deep within to hidden truths within us to lead to freer expression of that which our soul wishes to express.

Mercury has certain periods in the year when it goes retrograde. It means that as you look at it from the Earth, it looks as if it’s going backwards, even though –…

Astrology 5: Saturn & Uranus

WARRIOR WOMAN

SATURN

In the heart section of Saturn I mention cowardice and I want to explain this first of all. I dithered over this as it sounds a bit judgemental. Cowardice to me is when we ourselves know ourselves to be cowardly. It doesn’t matter what other people say, it is our own integrity which lets us know deep within whether our actions are right or not right. So in talking of cowardice, I am referring to how we ourselves view our actions. Saturn, after all, does not demand that we be stupid in our bigness, this energy also reminds us to be circumspect when the situation demands. But when we play small because of fear when we know we should stand tall, then our heart tells us if this is cowardly or not. Only we can know this and react accordingly.

It’s ironic that Saturn, the sixth planet in the…
